MRS M'S BLOG!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! I have decided that I should do a weekly 'BLOG' to let you all know what kind of things I have been up to and also what is going on around the school. I may keep this blog going when I am off on maternity leave - so you can all keep track of me. Well....this week has been so busy, with a fantastic St. Bridget's Day and some great entertainment. Year 4 have won my class of the week because they have behaved so well and their manners are perfect! they keep winning this award and thoroughly deserve it.

I wandered over to Year 2 earlier today and saw their amazing art gallery display based on Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' - you should call in and take a look. It really is beautiful and there is so much going on it their classroom. On one visit, I harldy thought children were in the room, they were working so quietly with some relaxing music in the background. This was exactly the atmosphere I needed after wrestling with nursery furniture (why does it have to be flat packed?) most of the week in between phonecalls from Mrs. Wade who is really missing school but looking forward to having her baby.

Anyway, I am off now to enjoy a weekend of rugby. Have a great weekend everyone and I will catch up with you next week!

Following an extensive assessment, St.Brides has been awarded the prestigious ICT Mark.  The award recognises the school’s success in developing the strategic use of ICT in both administration and across the curriculum.

The Posada

In St.Brides we celebrate Advent by sharing a Posada, a Mexican tradition.  "Posada" in Spanish, simply means lodging or shelter.  The Posada helps to shelter Mary and Joseph in their difficult journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem.
Here are some very special photos of the Posada this year.
