     CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION

 

 

COULD YOU BE THE YOUNG POET OF THE VALE?

 

COWBRIDGE BOOK FESTIVAL 2012  MAY 11-18

 

This year the Cowbridge Book Festival is running a Creative Writing Competition as a part of its aim to promote an interest in and appreciation of Literature. 

 

We would love children to enter this competition and will be entering as many poems as possible.

 

If your child would like to enter this competition please encourage them to write a poem based on one of the topics below and hand it in to their class teacher before the 23rd March 2012.

 

  • A Spell Poem
  • My Shadow – possibly written in the shape of a shadow
  • Sounds – emphasis on sound words and objects
  • Dear Mum/Dear Teacher – a poem written in the form of an apology

 

There are no restrictions on length, or structure of the entries.

 

There will be prizes in all categories.

 

Entries should submitted to school by 23rd March 2012
