Fairtrade Fortnight – Go Bananas for Fairtrade! 23rd February - 6th March 2009
Over the next 2 weeks our children will be learning about a variety of fair trade issues within their classes. They will also be involved in whole school events.
Disguise a Fairtrade banana competition all entries in on March 5th, to be judged by the Fairtrade committee, winners announced at Big Merit Worship on March 6th.
N.B. Please ensure your banana is Fairtrade, as only Fairtrade bananas will be judged
On Wednesday 25th February Fairtrade tuck shop will be selling Fairtrade banana bread 30p a slice.
March 6th - Non uniform day - Caribbean theme. We ask for a donation of £1 to cover cost of a Fairtrade banana and charity donation.
March 6th 1.30pm - We will be helping to create a new world record for the number of people eating Fairtrade bananas at the same time. It will be fun and it will send a clear message to supermarkets and the government – We want more Fairtrade!
